People around the world face poverty and destitution. Humans2Humans was established with the mission of helping people improve their living standards through education, entrepreneurial spirit, collaboration, and teamwork.
Sponsor a Doctor is the organization’s first initiative. In recent years, Lebanese medical students studying abroad were unable to continue their education because of the financial crisis and the collapse of the national currency in their home country. Humans2Humans sponsored one student and paid the tuition fees until graduation.
With the worsening economic situation, this small number of troubled students later expanded into a pandemic-like crisis. Thousands of students were stuck outside Lebanon, unable to carry on with their education or to return home. This was the impetus of Humans2Humans to launch the Sponsor a Doctor Initiative, which became the first program focused on helping these struggling students complete their medical degrees. Humans2Humans believes that the impact of helping students will not only extend to their direct families, but to the betterment of entire communities and future generations. Afterall, maybe one of these doctors will invent the next big medication or contribute to the advancement of sciences and humanity.
Humans2Humans will be launching other initiatives to continue achieving its mission and improving people’s lives through education, training, and mentorship.
